Janet Ashfield

I started a family at 24, which means I have been fortunate to have grandchildren fairly early in life. My children are very important to me and I am grateful to see them grow as individuals on a daily basis and to see them develop as the most wonderful parents and partners too. I consider I am very lucky to be a young (ish) granny and am able to really enjoy the wonder of another generation.

As a self employed person I live a very flexible life and fit in my hobbies and me time around work activities and vice versa. Some people think this means I work 24/7 but ultimately, with no one else at home, I really make the most of 24 hours. I can go walking with my dogs on a wonderfully sunny day, along the river Itchen or down on the beach or out with the walkers group I am part of and spend the evening in my study working, this would not appeal to everyone but suits me wonderfully. I can see friends, horse ride, have my grandchildren, attend courses, read copious amounts, go to concerts, the theatre, go to yoga, sound baths, 5 rhythms dancing and also thrive doing my work, writing, coaching, mentoring, teaching, training, developing projects, supporting small business owners, developing worksheets and processes to support clients, sharing the books, cd’s, DVDs, course content etc along with keeping my web site up to date! I am very grateful for the life I live. I am not materialistically minded and have no aspiration to develop an empire, I would however like to be of value in this lifetime and Mpowerme seems to be my route for this. In Motivational Maps terms (an online psychometric test I used in my work) I am a searcher, expert and free spirit, this means in my work I get to seeks out information and share it with others – which is a great opportunity.
