Mentoring enables an individual to follow in the path of a colleague who can pass on knowledge & experience and open doors to otherwise out-of-reach opportunities. The mentor helps another less experienced person to discover more about themselves, their potential and their capability, to set goals and build competencies and to reach those goals through regular personal contact. It is a relationship where an individual seeks support guidance and feedback from another person. Mutual respect and trust is key to a successful mentoring relationship.
What We Do
Mpowerme's role as mentors is to listen, ask questions and probe for facts, as well as to act as a source of information and guidance. We will not give instructions, but rather help mentees to form their own views and perspectives and develop on a personal and professional level.
We will help employees, managers and directors discover more about themselves, what it is they want to achieve and how to achieve it. It is a helpful relationship based upon mutual trust and respect.
Mentoring can help your company’s employees, manager and directors to feel more confident about their role. Mentoring is totally confidential. We will not discuss any of the work we do together with anyone.
Coaching
Coaching is a way to bridge any gap between where members of your company’s team are today and where they are aiming to be.
It is for the unempowered; the procrastinators; those that have lost their way; those that are on the way to the top but need a personal plan to do so effectively; or those that simply don’t know which way to turn.
Although coaching is traditionally connected with senior executives it is in fact beneficial for all levels of staff. It addresses not only business issues and processes, but takes into account the personal desires, needs, and goals of the individual allowing them to make better, more informed decisions for themselves in harness with your business strategy.
Organisations benefit from business coaching, because it:
- increases retention of staff
- improves corporate values and direction
- increases productivity
- reduces absenteeism
- employs highly energised and flexible staff
Through business coaching staff learn to:
- stretch beyond their preconceived limits and constraints
- increase their ability to manage stress and pressure
- handle difficult relationships with colleagues and staff
- make decisions with clarity and purpose
- increase direction, focus, commitment and energy
